My Favourite Christmas Songs

Tomorrow is the first of December, which means it's CHRISTMASSSSSS! Yay! I'm not one foe putting up our tree super early, and I haven't even bought any Christmas presents yet. Oops! But, it's time for Christmas songs, in my books.

Boohoo Winter Warmers

If you hadn't noticed, or if you're lucky enough to live somewhere that's still warm, it's suddenly got bloody freezing in the UK!

Perfect timing to be asked to take part in the Boohoo Winter Warmers challenge, right?!

The challenge was to put together a cosy winter outfit for under £40. Since Boohoo is so reasonably priced, I found it really easy to find a great outfit, staying under budget. I even managed to sneak in an accessory, too!

What's in My Bag | Blogger Event

Over the last six months or so I've found myself being invited to quite a few blogger events. When attending these events my intentions 99% of the time will be to write a blog about the event. This means that I to carry with me a few bits and bobs that will enable me to do that.

First up is my phone. Mainly so I can Instagram and Tweet about the event, but also so that I can take photos with it, too. I took the photos for this post with my iPhone 6, hence why it isn't actually in the photo!

Contouring Made Easy | Kiko Contouring Pencil Set

Contouring had got to be the biggest make-up trend of the last year or two. I never used to contour, mainly because I didn't know how, but now I wouldn't do my make-up without even just a small amount of contouring. If you're still new to all this, and are looking for an easy product to try out, I've got a great recommendation for you.

The Kiko Contouring Pencil Set, from the Rebel Romantic collection, is only £9.90 for both the contour and highlight pencils. The set comes in two shades: light to medium and medium to dark. I have the light to medium, as I have fairly pale skin, and the contour shade in the medium to dark set look a little too warmed toned for my liking.

3 Ways to Wear | The Sleeveless Trench

I bought this sleeveless trench back in the summer. I don't normally go for this kind of length jacket, or anything really, as I'm short. Wearing heels sorts that problem out though. The colour is a beautiful teal, perfect for autumn/winter. Looking at these outfits now, I think a deep plum lipstick would look so good with this colour!

Murad | Newcastle Launch

As I mentioned in Friday's Post, a couple of weeks ago I was invited along to the Station Hotel in Newcastle to celebrate the Launch of Murad in House of Fraser, Metrocentre, and for an introduction to the brand.

Murad launched into House of Fraser last month. The brand offers Newcastle locals and visitors to the city the opportunity to experience a skin health assessment inspired by the consultations world-renowned dermatologist Dr. Howard Murad gives his patients.

Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser

Last week I popped popped along to a Murad event in Newcastle. More about that event on Monday, but for now I wanted to chat about the new AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser from Murad. I received a decent sized sample at the event and have used it a few times in the past week, with plenty left over still.

The Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser 'is an anti-ageing cleanser for a smoother, younger looking complexion. Combining chemical and mechanical exfoliators, a cocktail of gentle exfoliating acids dissolve dead skin cells smoothing and hydrating dry, dull skin, while Jojoba beads polish the complexion for the ultimate exfoliation. The result? A brighter, more even, younger looking skin'.

25 Days of #GeorgeChristmas | My Christmas Day Outfit

I can't believe it's November already. Where has this year gone!? Seriously, before we know it we'll be celebrating New Year and welcoming 2016, yikes!

Before New Year though, we've got the big C to think about. That's Christmas, for all you dirty minded folk out there! (Rachel, I'm talking to you!)

5 Things I love about Autumn

Now that it's November, the clocks have changed and it's dark by 5 pm. Autumn is well and truly here, with a definite chill in the air.

Aside from the cold days and dark nights, I love autumn. Here are my five favourite things about autumn...

1. Dark Lips
I like dark lips all year round, but keep them for nights out. When the nights draw in, out comes the vampy lips. I recently purchased MAC's D for Danger and haven't stopped wearing it since!

A Christmas Party Winner | Luxemme

So, I've found a great new website for you're Christmas Party Outfits!

I hate the idea of turning up to a party (or anywhere!) wearing the same outfit as someone else, which is always a possibility when I buy my outfits from the usual high street haunts. That's where Luxemme comes in.

My Best Kept Secret | Amble

Are you thinking of visiting the North East? Staying in Newcastle is a great base from which to explore other areas of the North East. I might be biased, but Northumberland is beautiful, so when Talented Talkers and Travelodge asked me to share My Best Kept Secret, I knew it had to be Amble.  I live there, so I think I can give some great recommendations...

I love living in Northumberland. We've got the coast, countryside, great independent places to shop, not to mention delicious places to eat and lovely walks. Amble is even up for The Great British High Street Coastal Community Award!

BUT, what would be my number one thing to do in Amble if you were visiting? It's a toughie, but I'd say a scenic walk. Start at the beach, around the pier, across the harbour and finish with a wander around the Harbour Village.
