Keeping My Grey Hair Grey | That's It Grey Pride Shampoo

Recently I (eventually) got my hair to the grey tone I've wanted for ages, without any green tinge left in it. Yay. When my hair was super blonde, I uses to use a purple shampoo to keep away any warm/brassy tones. In the past few months though, as I was trying to get rid of the blue dye I put on my hair, I avoided the purple shampoo. I didn't want any pigment to build up and make it look and bluer!

Two Ways to Wear | The Suede Skirt

As I mentioned in last weeks outfit post, I'm transitioning to a smarter working wardrobe. I love this navy suede skirt I bought from Tesco just before Christmas. I feel like I could dress it up with a printed cami and heels, as well as wearing it as part of smarter outfits, like these two...

Button up Shirt

I actually wore this outfit to the first day of my placement in a school last week. I decided to go for a shirt for a professional look. I'm not a black work trouser kind of girl, but I think this

So You Want to Start a Blog? | What Next?

If you've read the first part of this mini series, 'So You Want to Start a Blog?', then you'll have thought about why you want to blog, who you're audience will be, and what you're going to write about. So now it's time to actually start up your blog.

The most important, and most difficult, part of starting up a blog is deciding on the blogs name. I like my blog name, although 'LookAtMyClothes' doesn't really reflect that I also write about beauty and lifestyle, too. Have a good think about this, ask friends and family what they think of your name. Make sure it reflects what your blog is about. A big trend in the blogging world at the minute is having your actual name as your blog name, so that's always an option.

The Dream Cleansing Team | OSKIA +Soap & Glory

Even though I know I should be, I'm just not great with skincare. As I'm getting closer to the big 3-0, I think it's gtting even more important to get myself into a good skincare routine.

A few weeks ago I shared my Winter Skin Essentials. I do *try* to use the Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion and the Origins Drink Up Mask on a regular basis, but I don't really get around to using them often enough. Must try harder!

What I am getting a lot better at is making sure I take my make-up off at the end of the day. The main reason I've eventually got into the habit is that I've found a perfect cleansing duo.

Three Ways to Wear | Striped Trousers

This year I've decided I need a more 'grown up' wardrobe, which means less casual and more professional. The reason behind that shift is that I'm (hopefully) going back to university to train as a teacher. I'm in the process of applying now, so I need smarter outfits for placements, interviews etc. I had this in mind the last time I went shopping, picking up these gorgeous striped trousers from F+F at Tesco.

We all Know what I'm like though, when I buy something I like to able to wear it a few different ways, for different occasions. So here are three ways I'd wear striped trousers...

How to Wear | All Black (Without Being Boring)

If you've been following my blog for a while, or know me personally, then you'll be aware that I rarely wear black outfits. Unless it's a little black dress for a night out, I'm all about colour and prints.

I often think that all black outfits can boring, but that's where layers and various textures come in. I would never wear a air of black jeans and a plain black t-shirt. Well, never say never, but y'know, it's just too boring!

Getting Personal | The Contraceptive Implant

This isn't the type of thing I'd normally talk about on my blog, but I really wanted to share my experience with you. It wasn't great.

In October last year, after having the contraceptive injection every twelve weeks, I decided to get the implant instead. The contraceptive implant lasts for three years, so once it's in you barely have to think about it. I had absolutely no problems with the injection, and the implant is the same hormone. Great, I thought, let's do this.
