The Essentials I'll be Taking to Kendal Calling Festival

When this post goes live, I'll be getting sorted to drive over to Kendal for Kendal Calling Festival with my best friend and her son. As I'm writing this, I'm listening to a playlist I put together on Spotify with all the artists I'm excited to see - you can check that out here. As I was packing up my bag, I thought I'd put together a post about the Festival Essentials I'll be taking with me. So here they are...

First up is some kind of waterproof jacket. This Yellow Rain Coat is from F&F at Tesco. You'd be crazy to head to a festival in the U.K without some form of protection from the Great British weather. The forecast isn't looking great for this weekend so I'm glad I bought this shower proof mac at the last minute. I couldn't resist the bright yellow colour, hopefully, it'll mean if I get lost my friends will be able to spot me!

Mickey Mouse Backpack from Primark. I didn't want to be carrying around a handbag on my shoulder for the whole weekend, so a backpack was an absolute essential. I only had a bag rucksack which I used for work, so off I popped to Primark to see what I could find. When I spotted this beauty, which was the perfect size, black and had Mikey Mouse ears, I grabbed it! I can fit a surprisingly large amount of my essentials into it, and the weight will be spread across both shoulders, no aches and pains for me.

Instax Polaroid Camera. There's something about taking a photo and waiting for it to develop that is so much fun. I'm going to taking my Instax Polaroid Camera with me this weekend to catch lots of moments with my bestie.

*Incognito Skin Suncream Insect Repellent SPF 25. I'm sure I'm not the only one to associate festivals in the U.K with rain (bad experience at Isle of Wight Fest). I didn't really think about packing Suncream, so I'm lucky that Holland & Barrett including the Incognito Skin Suncream Insect Repellent SPF 25 in their Festival Essentials Kit. I got burnt on my neck a couple of weekends ago when it wasn't even very sunny, so I'm going to make sure I apply this essential all weekend!

*A.Vogel Echinaforce Sore Throat Spray. There are so many amazing artists playing at Kendal Calling this weekend - Stereophonics, Manic Street Preachers, Franz Ferdinand, Feeder, and Kate Nash to name a few - so I'm sure I'll be singing along to A LOT of songs. I'll be popping the Throat Spray into my bag to soothe my throat after singing along to Foundations at the top of my lungs.

Whenever I'm at a gig I hate leaving the music to go get food or a drink. Although I've never tried the *Bounce Protein Energy Balls, they'll be lifesavers for those moments when I'm really hungry but enjoying the live music too much. I'm not really on for energy drinks, but I'm sure the *Virtue Sparkling Energy Water will come in handy when I'm starting to flag a little. They contain zero sugar, zero calories and no sweeteners, so a much better option than traditional energy drinks.

What are your festival essentials? Have I missed anything? I'll have my wellies packed, too!

*I was gifted these products, but all opinions are my own.
