A few weeks back I was invited along to No28 in Newcastle for the re-launch of their burger menu. With a new name – Meat:Stack – but the same amazing burgers, I couldn’t wait to try them out. I’d never been to No28 before, but I’d heard lots of good things about the burgers.
It was a really hard decision to chose only one burger, but in the end I went with West Coast Classic – their original cheeseburger, fresh and delicious, with secret sauce, lettuce and fixings. As the description suggests, it was delicious! Juicy, but not too sloppy to eat. The best burger I’ve had in along time. A runner for the top spot, coming very, very close to Five Guys! We also had some Beef Dripping Fries. Oh My God. These were the best fries I’ve ever tasted. It’s a shame I had to share because I could have eaten A LOT of them. I need to go back, if only for a portion of those.
I think I want to give the Mid-Western burger a go next time. It is a butter burger (not even sure what that is) with french onions, whipped garlic and miso butter.
If you’ve never visited No28, and Meat:Stack, before I highly recommend it. It would make a great date night.
