Almost a year (where did that go!?) I attended the launch of Meat:Stack at No.28, Newcastle. You can read that review here. Since then, Meat:Stack has opened in the historic Grainger Market in Newcastle. We decided to give them a go as I wanted to see if they were still the best burgers in the Toon.
I was umming and ahhing about which burger to try, and decided to go for the West Coast Classic meal. For only £8.50 you get the burger consisting of a double burger, cheese, secret sauce, lettuce and fixings. The first time I tried this burger it was juicy and delicious, and this time it was just as good.
The fries – cooked in beef dripping – are super tasty and have just the right amount of crispiness. I got a regular portion and couldn’t finish them alongside my burger.
So what is the difference between visiting Meat:Stack at No.28 or The Grainger Market then? Well, No.28 is a bar/restaurant whereas The Grainger Market has more of a street food vibe with the option of taking your burgers away or grabbing one of the stools to sit and eat at. There is a larger selection of burgers alongside desserts at the No.28 location versus the Grainger Market location, although at the Grainger Market you can grab breakfast, too. I wouldn’t recommend one location over the other as it depends what you’re after.
If you want to sit down, relax and take your time over a meal, heal to No.20. If you want to grab something quickly, perhaps on your lunch break or in between dashing into stores on a shopping trip, head to the Grainger Market.
Have you ate at Meat:Stack yet? If not, you really should!
