White & Denim is such a classic summer combination, but as we’re hurtling towards Autumn, surely there’s still a few sunny days on the horizon? I hope so because I’ve still got a few summer outfits I want to get some wear out of.
A Classic Combination
I’ve had this denim skirt in my wardrobe for quite a few years now… maybe three or four. It’s perfect for Summer holidays with slinky vest tops, in Autumn with tights and ankle boots, and of course for sunnier days in the UK with a cute white top and sandals.
White & denim has always been a classic combination. You may have noticed that when you’re browsing the denim section online a lot of the items are paired with white. It contrasts so well with the gorgeous blue denim and has a Mediterranean feel to it. Imagine Santorini – whitewashed buildings with touches of bold blue. This is the feeling I get from this outfit. Take me to a Greek Island so I can wear it there, please!
Jazz It Up
I love a splash of colour, and although the denim skirt is a lovely blue shade, I like to add another shade into the mix. For me, the easiest way to d this is with a jazzy pair of sandals. My 90’s style sandals are my summer shoes of choice right now, but I also have a yellow pair of sandals that would look fab with this outfit. Any colour would work – choose your favourite!
Gold jewellery also looks great with a classic white and denim outfit. Imagine a simple pair of skinny jeans, a white t-shirt, and a gold pendant. Simply gorgeous.
I’ve worn denim & white together for years without even thinking about it, have you? Do you have a go-to colour that you add to the mix? Or even a print? I’d add my leopard print sandals, come to think of it!
