An Autumnal Palette
Sage green. It’s not normally a colour I am drawn to in the Autumn months. Burgundy, camel and even khaki green are typically the Autumnal shades popping up all over the high street. But, sage green complements this colour palette perfectly.
Wear it with black tights, boots and a bag like I have for a classic look. To bring in more Autumnal shades, a pair of tan boots and bag with a burgundy coat over your shoulders would give it that seasonal, cost vibe.
A Versatile Dress
Although sage green works perfectly with an Autumnal palette, it is perfect for Spring and Summer, too. Pink and soft green is a lovely colour pairing when the weather starts warming up. I’m picturing a soft pink suede biker jacket, the green wrap dress and a pair of tan sandals. Simply remove the jacket for very warm days.
The floaty sleeves on this particular dress means that a cream roll neck would sit very comfortably underneath it for chilly days. Those same floaty sleeves will keep you cool in the summer months, too. When it comes to fashion, the items of clothing you choose to purchase and add to your wardrobe need to be versatile in order to be sustainable. Being sustainable isn’t just about the brands you choose to purchase but also how you treat those clothes in your wardrobe. Although I buy quite a lot of high street fashion, those items will stay in my wardrobe for years to come. I would never, ever buy an outfit with the intention to wear it once and then get rid of it. Not only is this a massive waste of money, but those clothing items are more than likely sitting in a landfill somewhere.
Which colours do you have in your wardrobe that will work for Autumn? I’m looking forward to layering up with lots of greens, burgundy and rusty shades.
