In the winter months, a sweater is essential, especially here in the UK. I’ve never been much of a jeans-and-jumper kind of girl, but I like being warm. I have a few tips on how to style up your simple sweater this winter. Let’s all keep warm and snuggly while looking great…
Find An Interesting Sweater
A simple sweater doesn’t have to be plain and boring. Your favourite bright colour or pattern – like my tiger print jumper – is perfect. You can’t go wrong with an animal print, either. Fit-wise, I personally prefer a simple silhouette. Not too oversized. Some people look great in oversized sweaters, but being petite I find that they overwhelm me. I also tend to clear of voluminous sleeves on sweaters as they are just too bulky.
What To Wear With Your Simple Sweater
As I said, jeans and a jumper just isn’t really very “me”. Swap those jeans out for a pair of faux leather trousers, though, and now we’re talking. A change in texture makes all the difference when you style up your simple sweater this winter. I love to wear my faux leather skirt for that exact reason. The smooth texture really contrasts against the cosy, knitted jumper.
When it comes to footwear, I like to go for a smarter boot. For a super casual style, you could wear Ugg boots or even trainers with your simple sweater, but I like to stick to my black, suede sock boots. The PU skirt, tights, and slim-fitting ankle boots give a great silhouette if you did want to go a little more oversized with your sweater,
