I’ve had a black faux fur gilet hanging in my wardrobe for years. The first couple of winters I wore it so much, but for some reason, it got forgotten about for the last couple of years. It was hanging up unloved in the wardrobe in the spare room. Until now. I’d forgotten how versatile it is, and so now it’s back into my main wardrobe to bring a fluffy, cosy feel to my winter outfits. If you know me, you’ll know I love a bit of faux fur so here are my tips on how to style your faux fur gilet…

Tonal dressing. Everyone seems to be doing it right now. Head to toe beige isn’t really my thing, though. The current Autumn colour palette means that it’s super easy to wear this trend without looking like a bore.

One of my favourite prints for this season is autumn checks. There’s such a huge variety available that everyone is bound to find a colour palette that works for their wardrobe. I’m sticking with chocolate brown, tan, cream, burgundy and hints and teal this autumn and winter. When I found this blazer in Tesco (it’s F&F) I knew it would fit perfectly into my new season wardrobe. It’ll be ideal for work and for weekends, too.

What colours do you wear with denim? Any colour, right? Well yes, all colours go with denim. That’s what makes jeans such an easy item in our wardrobes. But, I have some favourite colours that I like to wear with my deni when it comes to Autumn.
